Deon Conyers
WHERE I COME FROM
Deon Conyers was born in Havana, Florida on April 7, 1974. Conyers came from a very poor household, having to work for everything. He showed off his hard-work and dedication by having a 4.2 GPA, which ranked him as valedictorian of his graduating class. Conyers grew up with dreams and aspirations of playing basketball. Before running for office, Conyers spent 18 years in the National Basketball Association playing for the Orlando Magic. After an extremely successful basketball career, Conyers went back home to help his community, which led to him running for governor. Beating Ron DeSantis, Conyers became the Governor of Florida.
DEON CONYERS GOALS
As President, Conyers has many goals, his most values being providing healthcare to everyone.
Healthcare is something that Conyers believes everyone has a right to. Because of this, during his time in the NBA, he spent a large percentage of his income on hospital bills. Conyers was able to cover 50,000 hospital bills for families in need. Conyers valued helping others, and paying for these bills inspired him to start his business, HealthCare4U. HealthCare4U provides anyone and everyone with the opportunity to low-cost healthcare, costing only $1.25/month.
Conyers decided to join his two passions of education and minority support. Conyers began hosting fundraisers for historically black colleges and universities. During this time, Conyers also started his own scholarship, the You've Already Won Scholarship. This scholarship is available for students from his hometown, but a smaller version of it is available to all Florida students.
Deon Conyers is running for president to make sure that everyone has what they need to be successful in life. We as a whole will win and run this country the correct way! I promise to make sure you live in the best country in the world! Deon is the Difference!
MISSION STATEMENT
Policies
As President, I have three main policies to instill. The first being a change in the education system. I will change the requirements of what is taught in order to teach the student things that will greatly benefit them in real-world situations. I will remove the heavy weight of standardized testing as it does not accurately depict intelligence.
The second change will regard Healthcare. With my plan, HealthCare4U, all medically necessary procedures and appointments as well as annual appointments will be covered. This includes cosmetic procedures that will benefit the individuals health. This plan will cost the individual $1.25/month, and the rest will be covered with money gained from government spending cuts.
The third major policy I will instill is in regard to the income segregation gap. With the 60% average difference between black and white family incomes. I will be creating the Income Gap Integration Policy in order to promote these changes.
